Studies have shown that many underlying health issues can be improved with weight loss, so we hope you will make Measured’s personalized and holistic approach a part of your journey. However, please keep in mind that based on the guidance of our medical experts, patients with the following conditions are not eligible for the Measured Medical Plan:

  • Pregnant or actively attempting to conceive or breastfeeding

  • Active anorexia or bulimia nervosa

  • Active cancer and undergoing treatment

  • Active heart disease

  • Under 21 or over 65 years old

  • Kidney disease (GFR <60) or have had kidney transplant

  • A History of liver disease or a liver transplant (fatty liver not an exclusion)

  • Use steroid medication (example: prednisone) daily

  • Use insulin daily

  • Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus (Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) >8.0%)

  • A history of heart attack, stroke, or any other heart conditions which limit daily activities within the last six months

  • Bariatric surgery or gastric sleeve patients are eligible for weight loss treatment through Measured so long as the surgery was >6 months ago and they have not lost weight in the past 4 weeks as part of the procedure.

If any of these apply to you, we recommend seeing your local clinician to discuss the best treatment plan for your specific health needs.
